NEWS
2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR NEEDS YOU
Please consider donating your time, energy, and ideas for WTV and the PTC. We have several positions open; if you are interested, please let us know!
If you are interested in volunteering at the school in any capacity or want to watch events like the All Star Dash, be sure to complete the BSD Background Check. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
VOLUNTEER NEEDS:
Click the Volunteer menu for additional information on how to volunteer and click the Programs menu for information on specific programs.
The support, programs, and events the PTC provides can't be done unless we have volunteers participating. Are you wondering what is happening with the track? Do the classrooms need cooling in warm weather? Who can attend the All Star Dash? What is the plan for the school in the next bond? These topics/questions/challenges are what the PTC discusses and decides on. Be a part of the team that determines how your donation money is spent. Or just join us at a monthly PTC meeting.
Open Volunteer Positions:
Spooktacular Event Team: More volunteers are needed to complete the Spooktacular Event team. The students love this event, but it requires a team to make it successful, please consider volunteering now so there is ample time to plan. October will come quickly.
NEW! Star Showcase (Talent Show) Coordinator(s)/Team: Early spring send out requests for video applications exhibiting a student’s talent. Create a team to jury the applications. This year's Showcase was separated into two exhibitions: K-2 and 3-5, each 45 minutes long in the school gym during the school day. Every student gets to enjoy this event whether they are on stage or watching.
Green Team: The Green Team is looking for a parent to represent each grade at the school. Help with Green events, Walk and Roll, and classroom engagement/field trips.
Photography Team: Take pictures of events or class activities and upload to the social media
Yearbook Co-Coordinator: This is the last year for the current coordinator. Volunteer this year to learn the process and take over next year. Two volunteers would be welcome and can work together next year. Taking pictures is not required. Receive photos from various sources and spend late winter/early Spring setting up the yearbook.
Art Night Co-coordinator: Shadow and help this year, lead next year's event
If you are interested in a position, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@wtvptc.org
