2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR NEEDS YOU
Please consider donating your time, energy, and ideas for WTV and the PTC. We have several positions open; if you are interested, please let us know!
If you are interested in volunteering at the school in any capacity or want to watch events like the All Star Dash, be sure to complete the BSD Background Check. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
VOLUNTEER NEEDS:
Click the Volunteer menu for additional information on how to volunteer and click the Programs menu for information on specific programs.
We have two board positions that need to be filled immediately. The positions are voted on at the next PTC meeting on June 13th. The support, programs, and events the PTC provides can't be done unless we have volunteers participating. Are you wondering what is happening with the track? Do the classrooms need cooling in warm weather? Who can attend the All Star Dash? What is the plan for the school in the next bond? These topics/questions/challenges are what the PTC discusses and decides on. Be a part of the team that determines how your donation money is spent. Or just join us at a monthly PTC meeting.
Volunteers Needed Now:
PTC Board Position: Co-Volunteer Coordinator: Our new Co-VC will manage the software portion for this position. But we need one more volunteer to manage the communications in MIP and google Workspace - training available.
PTC Board Position: Vice President: The VP assists the President and perform the duties of the President in the absence of that Officer. VP trains for 1 - 2 years before becoming president for 1 - 2 years. The VP helps with special WTV PTC projects, if any. All board members attend two meetings a month, approximately 3-4 hours total per month. Be a part of the team that makes decisions to support our students and staff.
Consider joining by the end of the year:
Spooktacular Event Team: 2 - 3 volunteers are needed to join the Spooktacular Event team now. The sooner a team is formed the sooner planning can happen. October will come quickly.
Green Team: The Green Team is looking for a parent to represent each grade at the school. Help with Green events, Walk and Roll, and classroom engagement/field trips.
PTC Photographer: New! We are looking for additional volunteers to join the team to attend PTC events and activities, take images, and downloads them onto the PTC google workspace for the Yearbook and Social Media Coordinators to access. The photographer could also help with taking images of volunteers for i.d. badges.
5th Grade Sendoff Committee: plan the year end party/activities for next year's 5th graders.
If you are interested in a position, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@wtvptc.org
